GICLEE PRINT – You Have Been Chosen… Museum Quality, 5th in the J.R.R. Tolkien Series

This is our 5th design in the series of J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Lord of the Rings chronology’s sayings. It is a 19”x13” museum-quality Giclee print, including 1″ of white borders.

Description: This is a colored print with an original design. It portrays a man with a longline coat who walks through (or above) a colorful ocean. When looking closer, one would find out that it is difficult to decide if the man is coming or going. Much like this man, the colorful sea carries a mysterious appeal. In some spots, it feels like a stone rather than a flowing stream.

About Giclee: Giclee was a made-up term based on the French word “Gicler”, which means to squirt or spray, and was quickly adopted to mean a fine art digital print. Art dealers and galleries use the term to refer to fine art prints made using inkjet printers. 

How it’s printed: This print is printed in a professional printing facility in Florida. The printer uses high-quality inkjet printers, museum-quality media, and archival pigment inks. It is printed with the use of The new Epson ink set, UltraChrome PRO12, which produces an exceptional color gamut with up to 99% coverage of the PANTONE FORMULA GUIDE solid-coated standard. UltraChrome PRO12 inks are independently tested for print permanence by Wilhelm Imaging Research Inc. 

Text: The words of J.R.R. Tolkien from The Fellowship of the Ring read, “You have been chosen, and you must therefore use such strength and wits as you have.”

Size: It is sized 19”x13”, including a white border of 1”.

About the paper: It is printed on a Photo Rag Hahnemuehle paper which is a white cotton artist’s paper with a soft feel and a lightly defined felt structure. This all-around, high-quality paper is one of Hahnemuehle’s most popular papers and excels at both fine art and photography reproductions.
